Alford Studios

Jimmy Alford Studios, based in Memphis, Tennessee, is a well-established photography business specializing in high school senior portraits, school picture days, and family photography. I started my journey here as a photographer, but my role quickly expanded as they discovered my skills in graphic design and web development.

 

Their website hadn’t been updated since the 1980s, relying solely on HTML and basic web coding. While I initially coded improvements to the existing site, I ultimately revamped the entire website, giving it a modern, user-friendly design. I also created custom graphic elements, themed borders, and templates for parents and seniors to purchase.

Beyond web design, I took on multiple creative and technical roles, including:

Graphic Design: Designed appointment flyers, promotional materials, and custom templates for clients.

Photography: Traveled to schools for on-location shoots, handling senior portraits and picture days.

IT & Tech Support: Managed technical troubleshooting and IT-related tasks for the business.

Visual Artist: Led creative direction for branding and marketing assets.
 

This experience sharpened my ability to merge technology, design, and photography, allowing me to completely transform their online presence and business operations.
